Since 2024, the Sudan Working Group has been a forum for solidarity, exchange, and action for both WPSN-C members and non-members concerned with the ongoing and evolving situation in Sudan.
The working group meets regularly and has collaborated on open letters to Canadian government officials, organized meetings with government and interested civil society representatives, and discussed ways to continue strengthening individual and collective action on Sudan.
Upcoming film screening & panel discussion
Sudan, Remember Us captures a pivotal moment in Sudan’s recent history, following young Sudanese activists who mobilized for democratic change and documenting the challenges that followed. The screening will be followed by a discussion on the current situation in Sudan and the experiences of Sudanese women and civil society actors.
This event has been organized by the Women, Peace and Security Network-Canada’s (WPSN-C) Sudan Working Group in collaboration with Amnesty International Canada, Inter Pares, and the Human Rights Research and Education Centre at the University of Ottawa.
