We worked with the Feminist foreign policy working group to put together a ‘What We Heard’ document from civil society and expert consultations. The recommendations include supporting women’s peacebuilders and human rights defenders.
Who do you admire in the WPS field?
Women’s rights advocates/activists that we are privileged to work and partner with.
If you could make one recommendation on WPS issues to Prime Minister Trudeau, what would it be?
We need better integration between humanitarian action and the WPS agenda in policy and programming and that requires greater investment and expanded funding streams dedicated to humanitarian programming and emergencies.
What is your dream for the WPS agenda?
Dedicated and sustainable funding for women peacebuilders.
