In the wake of the 15th anniversary of the United Nation’s Security Council Resolution 1325 (UNSCR 1325), as well as the 5th anniversary of the release of Canada’s National Action Plan (C-NAP) to implement UNSCR 1325, the Women, Peace and Security Network – Canada (WPSN-C) is presenting a new blog series, Keeping 1325 Alive.

Among other topics, it will consider:

  • Canada’s role implementing UNSCR 1325

  • The global effort of remarkable women and grassroots organizations to advocate for UNSCR 1325,

  • And how to ensure governmental bodies uphold promises made on Women, Peace and Security (WPS) issues.

As we approach the 15th anniversary of UNSCR 1325, we will pose questions to stimulate and encourage discussion to Keep 1325 Alive! Please stay tuned to remain part of the important discussion of UNSCR 1325 by visiting the comments section, our Facebook page or Twitter feed.
